Overview
The Julimar Project lies about 70 km north-east of Perth, on the western margin of the Yilgarn Craton. Chalice Mining made the Gonneville PGE–Ni–Cu–Co–Au discovery there in 2020, under cover.
Morgan joined Chalice in 2017 as Senior Geologist and worked on the project generation that brought Julimar into the company’s portfolio, then on the targeting and drill recommendations for Gonneville and the nearby Dampier/Baudin and Torres targets.
The discovery was recognised with the 2022 AMEC Prospector Award and the PDAC 2023 Thayer Lindsley Award for an international mineral discovery, both awarded to Dr Kevin Frost and Morgan Frejabise.
